Having Carrie there to guide my husband on how to help me as I labored was great. The way she just got in and started doing things, listening and interpreting my vague requests, helped me a lot! Your massage was fantastic. It helped me relax more and was just overall a great feeling. My labor was just what I hoped it would be and in someways, better. It is amazing what our bodies can do if you let them. Thank you again, for being part of my birth team. You completed it with your knowledge and your genuine love for birth and concern for me. "From the time that I found out that I was pregnant I knew that I wanted to do an all natural childbirth, but in today's world everyone constantly told me I was crazy or that I couldn't do it. It's not that I didn't believe that my body would be strong enough to give birth naturally, but I thought that maybe a little extra help and support would help me prove everyone wrong.
I loved Carrie from the first time that I talked with her. She was extremely qualified and very positive and encouraging from day one. I was always able to call her whenever I needed and ask any questions I had. My baby was a week late and was showing signs of distress before and during delievery. When my midwife recomended induction, I was nervous that a natural childbirth would be a lot more difficult. Carrie helped me to be calm and confident in my body and in my baby's health. She was there with me from the start of labor until a couple hours after my sweet baby was in my arms. She never left my side, and I know how tired her arms must of been from the support and hip presses she was doing (they were my saving grace!). I was also very impressed by how in tune she was to me and my needs. The smallest requests that others missed she picked up on. She was also great at working with my husband and helping him to know the best ways to help comfort me.
Not only was I so grateful that she was there with me during the labor and birth of my son, but having her there with me after he was born was a great support. They had to take my little boy away when he was first born to help him breath, and for a new mother that was a very scary time. When my husband went with the baby and my midwife was taking care my body, I was grateful that Carrie stood next to me the whole time. She provided the comfort and confidence that I needed while they were caring for my baby. I cant imagine those moments alone with out such a great help. I was able to have the beautiful natural birth that I wanted and I attibute my success to such a wonderful doula and birth support team. "

Carrie was absolutely incredible. I could not have asked for a better doula. Words cannot even describe what she did for me, my husband, and my sweet baby boy. She was by my side encouraging me and giving me the confidence I needed to have the birth I truly wanted. She worked so well with my husband, they made the perfect team. Not only was she an emotional and mental support, she was a physical support as well. She helped me breathe through contractions, poured water over my stomach for hours on end, used pressure points to help make the pain manageable, and the list goes on. She was our advocate in every possible way. I know the birth of my beautiful little boy would not have been the same without her. She was by my side for 18+ hours of my labor and helped me through 4 hours of pushing, telling me the whole time she knew I could do it. She helped create a calm atmosphere and provided invaluable knowledge and recommendations before, during, and after my son's birth. Even though my birth experience was not what I expected and it was a lot of hard work, the entire experience was incredible and life changing. I am so grateful for Carrie and highly recommend her to anyone.

I was a little skeptical with the whole natural birth process when my wife first brought up the idea. She then explained that having a doula assist us during the pregnancy and birth could help make the overall experience go a little easier for both of us. This was our first child so neither of us really knew what to expect. Needless to say I agreed to meet with a couple of candidates one of which was Carrie. Immediately my wife decided that she wanted Carrie as her doula. Carrie brought experience to the table which was important for me, because I had no clue what I was doing. She informed my wife on various methods to help with the pregnancy before, during and after the birth. The few times we met before the due date were very informative and helped both of us prepare for the birthing process. The day finally came and we all met at the hospital and I really had no idea what I was in for. It was about 6:00pm when we met and my wife gave birth at 12:46pm the next day. It was one of the most intense events that I have ever been apart of. Carrie was actively involved non stop for over 18 hours. I really find it hard to imagine what the experience would have been like without Carrie. I would recommend her to anyone who is considering a natural birth and we will use her again without question.
