My name is Carrie Valadez. I am a mom to 4 beautiful children, and a wife to a handsome hubby! I moved to Utah 6 years ago from sunny Southern California. I love the mountains (but miss the beach!) and anything beautiful! When I am not assisting mom's in labor, you can find me spending time with my family playing games, going swimming, going to movies, or just hanging out at home. I love volunteering my time in my children's elementary school classes. It brings me great joy watching them learn and being an active part in their education.
As a child, and to this day, I love serving in any capacity. It brings me great joy and happiness as I serve others and bring happiness into their lives. Interestingly enough, the definition of a Doula means " a woman who serves". I truly believe this is my calling in life. To serve others while they are bringing a precious soul into this world.
As far back as I can remember, I have always been passionate about birth. I knew I wanted to be around mom's and their babies. I love what I do. I love serving others and helping women achieve the birth they desire.
I have had experience in a hospital setting as well as at a birth center and at home births. I have been fortunate enough to have worked side by side with highly trained midwives who have taught me how to love and nurture a laboring woman.
